Vocational/Technical/Trade School Scholarships

Sixteen $1,000 scholarships are available to high school senior students within a DFS community who will be attending a vocational or technical/trade school. Students pursuing mechanics, electrical, welding, or surveying will receive preference. Students from all DFS communities are encouraged to apply. Donors asked for preference to be given to students from the following towns: Halliday, Killdeer, Glen Ullin, Hebron, New Salem, Beulah, Hazen, Washburn, Garrison, Turtle Lake, and Wilton.

Criteria:

  1. Current high school senior as of May 1
  2. Will attend a vocational, technical or trade school
  3. Applicants must be a graduate of or currently live in a Dollars for Scholars community

All applications are due to the State Office postmarked no later than April 1 and winners will be notified in May. Checks will be sent to the colleges in December for use during the second semester of school.
